Launching into 2022 - Eyes Wide Open

Hello 2022!

WoW! Comes to mind. It’s been quite the year for me.

The stars aligned for me October 2020 when I retired from the City of Norwalk, CT after a fantastic, upward mobile 33-year career. What happened was not entirely unexpected but totally welcomed with open arms. My transition and pivot have been surprising and wonderful. I had always known that my career with the City of Norwalk would be ending within a year or so. It happened earlier and I’m so happy about that. There wasn’t any specific plan other than NOW the ability to do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted - creating my own business - TPMConnect Kathryn Hebert

The doors flew open with abrazen opportunities. My mind always going in so many directions, but always willing and wanting to try the next. Not one to rest on my successes and watching the world pass me by with millions of creative ideas dancing around in my head; I typically launch in and weave my own way encouraging anyone willing to jump on my bandwagon.

It’s been an exciting time for me to be able to continue to work (and play) in all ‘new’ and familiar environments. I’m like a kid starting a new school, never stopping and always learning. I've made new friends and partners and reconnected with others who I would only hear and see in passing. I wake up every day like it’s a new exciting beginning, ready to take on the challenge. I’m loving this new path.

I am totally grateful for what has transpired for me this year in the middle of an awful worldwide pandemic. I am blessed and grateful with an amazing family that has stuck together through it all. they are my rock.

This past year has taught me so much and has confirmed so much. Looking at life through rose tint with an eye on the unexpected, I look for our common thread, how to move the path into the future, connect the dots, create collaborative possibilities, encourage participation (we all bring something to the table) all in an effort to make the world a better place.

We are all struggling in some way even before the pandemic. The pandemic has highlighted everything even more. The only certainty now is the ever-changing wave of confusion, and no one is to blame, and everyone is responsible. As human beings we are all trying to focus our path forward in the most positive unobtrusive way. It’s hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel. But I see the glimmer, I choose to see a positive and optimistic path forward. I am jumping into 2022 with eyes wide open.

Let’s all take a breath, step back, look around, there is a light – let’s help each other and do this together. Watch Out 2022 – Here we come and don’t stand in our way! Thank you for the awesome ride. With Love and Peace.
